LC 53, Gonzaga 13
Rivalries produce some of the most exciting sporting events possible, and over the years the long-standing rivalry between Lewis and Clark and Gonzaga Prep have done just that. This game was supposed to be Gonzaga’s opportunity to “set things right”, after LC beat them 27-21 near the end of the 1966 season. That broke the Zags 20-game winning streak, and Gonzaga wanted revenge. The game, however, did not go as Gonzaga had hoped, as LC fueled the rivalry fire to a hotter temperature than before, much hotter.

*Following this game, the LC Tigers were #2 in the state rankings.
