OUR LAST REUNION – HOW GREAT IT WAS

2018 LCHS Class of 1968 – 50th Reunion

OVERVIEW
The 50th Reunion for the Lewis and Clark High School Class of 1968 was held on the last weekend of August 2018. The three day event included the following activities:

Friday Morning
A golf event at the Latah Creek Golf Course (Hangman Valley) was organized by Karen Guthrie-Mehlert. Classmates who participated in the golf outing included: Bill Bagby; Melvin Boehm; Cliff Brower; Rita (Conklin) Reeve; Doric Creager; Patrick Garvin; David Greve; Karen Guthrie-Mehlert; Beverly Harke; John Hathaway; Jan (Headstrom) McMillen; Dennis Hottell; Betsy (Husom) Newman; Bob Leslie; Linda Loft; Barbara (Luth) Cochran; Wayne Murray; Tom Porter; Patrick Saad; Scott Simpson; Margaret Sundberg.

Friday Afternoon
A Lewis and Clark High School guided tour with historical presentations was provided by Bob Lobdell and Linda Scheer.

Friday Evening
A “Meet & Greet” hosted beer & wine event was provided at The Patsy Clark Mansion.

Saturday Evening
The official reunion dinner was held at The Manito Country Club.

Sunday Afternoon
A picnic was held at Manito Park. This included the LCHS Class of 1968 and the Ferris HS Class of 1968. We celebrated together because so many of us went to grade school and junior high school together.

FREE TIME DURING THE 2018 REUNION WEEKEND
Over the course of the reunion weekend, our classmates enjoyed their non-scheduled times partaking in typical Spokane summertime activities, including: dining in local restaurants; going to Riverfront Park; going to the lake (there are so many lakes); going to the Finch Arboretum; or just hanging out with long-time classmates and friends.

PLANNING THE NEXT REUNION (2023)
We enjoyed ourselves so much at out 50th Class Reunion that we decided to do it again and have a 55th Reunion in 2023. The planning for the 55th reunion is underway for the weekend of August 19th – August 20th, 2023. Information is forthcoming.
